In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top news and magazines applications on the Android platform in Finland showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Ilta-Sanomat from Sanoma Media Finland experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting at approximately $8.8K and peaking at $8.9K by the end of September. Weekly downloads spiked significantly to 5.8K in early September, while active users decreased from about 180K to 160K by the quarter's end.

Yle saw a varied download pattern with a high of 4K in early July, later stabilizing around 1.3K by the end of the period. Active users demonstrated a rise from 302K to 319K, indicating strong user engagement throughout the quarter.

Helsingin Sanomat also from Sanoma Media Finland maintained a steady revenue, with a notable rise to $11K at the end of September. Downloads showed a gradual increase, reaching 2.2K, while active users climbed from 229K to 255K, reflecting growing popularity.

X, published by X Corp., saw modest revenue, peaking at $2.9K in early August. Downloads and active users showed consistent activity, with downloads peaking at 1.9K and active users ranging between 98K and 119K.

Iltalehti from Alma Media Finland noted an increase in revenue, reaching $7.2K by the end of September. Downloads remained steady around 1K, while active users experienced a slight decline from 107K to 101K.
